I need to purchase a set of tires for my car and need advice as to the best place?

I have a 3series BMW. My tires are 225/50/16.

What is the best discount coupon, offer, place to buy like Costco, etc., for me to get a good set of tires?|||Support your local economy.

www.tirerack.com typically has the best prices on the market. Find the tire you want and print out the price page. Go to a local store like America's Tire (aka Discount Tires) or Big O and they will match the TireRack price+$25 because TireRack charges $95 shipping.

The other benefit: because you purchased from a nation-wide retailer, keep a copy of your receipt in your car at all times and you can get free rotation at any branch vs. do it yourself or pay $20-25 each time.

If you get a weird branch for any reason that won't price match+$25, ask for their floor manager, or let them know you're going to the other branch across town.|||I find the best overall place where you consider price and service is Costco. Yes, you may be able to purchase them cheaper somewhere else, but can you go back year after year and have them re-balance them for "no extra charge". Will they even be in business one year later. Also, Costco offers their own satisfaction guarantee that smaller places do not.

Right now in Canada Costco has a coupon sale on Michelin tires and I would not doubt if the US has the same sale.|||That depends how much you want to spend. If you're looking for high end tires like Michelins, costco is the way to go and if I remember correctly, those can run you from several hundred dollars to around $1000.00.

If you're not looking to spend that much, tirerack.com has tires from every price range, depending on the type of tire and brand.

I looked at Big-O tires for our SUV and they are ridiculously expensive. For the same price of their name brand (Big-O) tires, I could have put on Michelins for about the same price.

I bought a set (4) of General tires from tirerack.com for a little more than $400.00; other places here wanted around $700.00 for the exact same set of tires.|||It depends on how long you want them to last,55k 65k 75k...

Costco has good deals on tires

Big O has been my choice because if you buy the Big O promise warranty for $7 extra. It will come with a 3 year 24/hr roadside warranty and also if you get a flat and it cant be repaired, they give you a new tire.

Les Schwabb is good also, but they are expensive for regular tires, I get more and better service at Big O.|||look in tghe weekend paper they usually have deals on tires in there..also if you have to ask for best price you cant afford them in the first place...lol|||i love my michelen all season tires!!! had them for 2 yrs and they still have more than enough tread! costco is pretty cool if you get them from there|||Walmart is not bad, grab a named brand like Goodyear %26amp; they will give you a decent deal.

Good luck!|||TIRERACK.COM
