Discount Tire fixes flats for free, have they put Goodyear out of business yet?

no but it takes an hour for them to do it. I pay the mexican garage down the street $6 and it's done in 3 minutes.|||So let me get this straight

If some how you are comparing a private insurance system to one run by the government your comparison is wrong.

Discount Tire sells and repairs all brands of tires and wheels while Goodyear services cars and sells Goodyear tires.

Not a commercial but Discount Tire is a very good privately run company. Discount Tire will not fix a flat for free unless you bought tires from them, they will give you free air for any tires, I'm guessing a promotion thing|||"UPS and FedEx are doing great. It's the Post Office having all the problems."

The private companies preform well, because they charge rates necessary to keep themselves in business. They have money coming in, so they can run their companies properly. Their main focus is profit-Then customer service and quality products.

The public/government run company (US Post Office) is run by the government. Instead of focusing on profit, they focus on providing a service.True they have a small amount of revenue coming in (stamp sales, etc.), but they are mostly funded and run by the government, hence the problems.|||Why, so we can have a problem ridden system like Canada or the UK? This is America, if you have a brain, you don't have to flip burgers the rest of your life, get a real job and buy some health insurance instead of alcohol, cigarettes, and lottery tickets.

In your case, however, you will have to flip burgers the rest of your life.|||How much are you getting paid for advertising for Discount Tires! And why would you want Good Year to go out of business, seeing that they employ a lot of people? Libs, I'm never going to understand their way of thinking!|||That makes about as much sense as usual for you. Yes, they have put Goodyear out of business and repainted the blimp too. Next they are going after Firestone.|||So your saying you want 'discount' healthcare? O.K. for you but health insurance and care is NOT where I would start looking for 'discounts'.|||Interestingly.. I'm not required by law to give "Discount Tire" enough money every year to replace all my tires.. you know, like the IRS will be charging us for Obama care if we use it or not.|||I didn't know they did that. If I can successfully find one close enough to me, it will put Goodyear out of business for me. lol|||It's not free. you pay for a service contract at the time of tire purchase. Your whole analogy is incorrect.|||What a stupid analogy.

Neither one is government owned.

Are you saying that government health care would be free?|||Nice analogy ;)|||Let me guess, you are linking a flat tire to health care?|||And this is political how?|||No, and they won't.|||Stop beating up on poor old Goodyear.

Everybody knows big corporations are always the only victims, even when no harm has been done.
