Mavis Discount Tire and can they replace my Honda Civic brakes?

I have to get my brakes replaced on my Honda Civic. Mavis is charging pretty low money ($60), to replace my front brakes. They would use Wagner semi-metallic pads.

Does anyone have any experience with Mavis? Also, does anyone know about the quality of semi-metallic brake pads and how well they work with Honda?|||I prefer to use the Honda organic pads as the semi metallic are usually hoisy and are too hard and cause the rotors to wear prematurely.

they are just replacing the pads for that price. they are not machining the rotors which is fine if you don't have any vibration when brakeing. I don't know who Mavis is but it is a very easy job to do and hard to screw it up.

I would recommend you go with organic pads or ceramics instead of the semi-metallic. I used the semi-metalic on my son's car and had to replace them after a week because of the noise.

Wagner is a name brand and not anything to worry about.

hope that helps
